People who publish blogs have two main objectives, namely to get people to read what they have written, and then to ensure that those same people will return to the blog as often as possible. Of course you can choose to write about absolutely anything you want, however knowing that really does not help you to decide what you want to write about at all. The possibilities are endless and can even be overwhelming. It is like telling a child in a toy shop to pick any toy they want! How must they decide, faced with such a large and varied selection to choose from, just what they want? And so you find yourself in a similar situation.
You have two choices at the outset that you need to decide about. Either your blog will be one that does not earn money, a personal blog, or it is one that does. It is entirely up to you. You may choose to merely have a blog in which you write about yourself and your day to day experiences, that you intend only for your friends and family to visit. There is not much you would need to do other than to keep it up to date on a fairly regular basis. Alternatively, you may have decided that you want an income to be generated from your blog.
