The Swiss army brand is recognized the world over and loved by outdoor enthusiasts on all continents. Known primarily for it’s ingenious multi purpose knives, no self respecting camping enthusiast would ever go on a trip without one.

Perhaps not so well known is the history of the company in the production of perfumes. The company has in fact been producing high quality scents for over a decade and the quality and success of the Swiss army perfume range is attested to by the fact that they have recently released their fourth scent onto the market.

      Swiss army cologne

The first perfume to ever be produced by the company went by the simple name of Swiss army cologne and was first released back in 1996. This scent was a success by all accounts with impressive sales numbers not only in the US but also abroad in Europe as well.

The initial success experienced by the makers of Swiss army cologne would have acted as a great encouragement to embark on further projects in the perfume field, and since 1996 three new scents have been released onto the market carrying the Swiss army brand name.

Far from losing popularity and fading away, the first Swiss army cologne to hit the market 13 years ago is still going strong and has undergone a minor re branding to reflect it’s status. Now named the original Swiss army cologne, it is still selling as well as its more recent counterparts.

The original Swiss army cologne is best characterized as a fresh alpine fragrance giving of a cool crispness. Of the many ingredients that go into making a bottle of this scent, some of the main ingredients include lavender, mint and bergamot.

      Swiss Army Altitude Cologne

This was the second of four colognes released by Swiss Army to date, initially being released in 2001. As the name suggests a whiff of this subtly sophisticated scent invokes pure, crisp, glistening mountain scenes where the air is fresh and clean.

Altitude retails in bottles of 3.4 oz for around $30 depending on where you buy from. It’s affordability combined with it’s chic but unfrivolous presentation make it a popular choice with men who want to be presentable but not pretentious.

      Swiss Army Mountain Water Cologne

Mountain water is the most recent addition to the Swiss army product line. Initially released in 2008 it is still early to say with certainty what the future of this perfume will be although to date all reviews seem positive. Mountain water retails for around $40 for a 3.4oz bottle.

Mountain water is similar it’s predecessors in that it draws upon the elements associated with alpine nature scenes and fuses them together to produce a cologne that is at once refined and manly.

Just like you will be able to find Swiss army watches for women you will also be able to find Swiss army perfumes for women as well. The especially prepared Swiss army for women makes use of mountain daffodils, crisp green water mint, ginger root and blue buttercup. The Swiss army perfume for women stamps you with a never ending freshness for the whole day.
